First OB appointment
My first OB appointment was pretty uneventful. I had to answer a ton of medical questions, including if I had been beaten lately, had a physical exam and had some blood drawn. I didn't get to hear the heart beat, bummer. But maybe next time!
Yesterday I had my first encounter with morning sickness --- or perhaps just a reaction to the prenatal vitamins that I started. About thirty minutes after I took the vitiamins, out of no where, they decided to come back up. I had absolutely no warning. It was rather strange. So today is a test to see if I can keep them down or if I need to look into a new vitamin.

I had to stop taking my vitamins for a couple weeks cause they made me feel really nasty. Hope it was just a freak thing and that you don't feel bad anymore!
So...have you been beaten lately? At what? Scrabble? Tennis?
Oh my...the questions they have to ask you these days! :P
After that first day, I've been totally fine with the vitamins. So I think it was just a fluke thing.
Wendy! Congratulations! We just got your letter last night because some of our mail still goes to my parents house and my dad is often slow to deliver it. I think Pete's going to give Joel a call tonight, but I just wanted to say congrats to you. I'm glad the prenatal vitamin thing seems to be a fluke, because like Molly, I had to stop taking them for a while with Jon...they didn't settle well AT ALL. So, did you get to hear the baby's heart beat? Congrats again! :)
I'm such a dork...you wrote that you didn't get to hear the heartbeat--whoops! Sorry! When do you go back? Isn't the tiredness crazy--it's unlike anything I've ever experienced. I hope you get to take a nap this afternoon! :)
so...what would you think about having a friend who was pregnant at the same time as you? well, whether you like it or not, it's true! I was trying to give Pete time to call Joel first and tell him, but he's just too pokey! Yep, we're pregnant again! I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but I think my due date should be around September 11th. So, I can really sympathize with the extreme tiredness. :) We'll have to call you guys sometime soon! Congrats again!

I just read your blog! Congratulations!! We should get together! Steve and I are due August 25...we're right about on the same schedule. too funny!! by the way...on the vitamin thing...try taking them at night. someone gave me that piece of advice and it really helped me. also, if you feel queasy first thing in the morning, have Joel bring you up some toast with peanut butter, and eat it before you get out of bed.
