Bad Blogger!

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger during this really fun stage of my life. Life has just been full lately. I had a great trip to Texas with my mom to see Tony, Jennifer and Olivia. We went to the Gulf of Mexico, ate at the Rain Forest Cafe, went to the zoo, rodeo and a Sheryl Crow concert. Plus it was just so much fun to hang out with Olivia for a solid week. We had tea parties, played at the park, played birds, ducks, and horses and even had a short little slumber party one night. I miss her big hugs already!

On Tuesday I had another doctor's appointment. Joel and I were able to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time. The doctor said my weight gain and blood pressure were very good. We also set up the appointment for my first real ultrasound. April 17th we should find out if we'll have a Jake or an Ella! I can't wait!

My belly has been growing. I can't really wear any of my pants anymore without the help of a safety pin. I've also bought my first several maternity shirts -- which fit rather nicely!

just a tip that was given to me when i was pregnant...you can use an elastic hair tie to put through your pants zipper and then loop around your button to keep your pants up, so you can wear your favorite pairs of jeans right up to the end. The maternity shirts do a good job covering it up : )
