Love is Patient
I'm starting think God got it wrong on this one. Love isn't patient. I'm almost four days overdue with Jake, whom I love very much. And my patients are wearing very quickly.
I think being overdue is one of the cruelest ways to learn to be patient. I know it's only been three whole days since his due date, but I really want to hold him. I know he's coming..... you think I'd find comfort in that. But nope, I want to hold him NOW!
I was doing pretty well until tonight. I told my parents both goodnight and went upstairs to take a quick bath and head to bed. As I stepped into the bath, my pregnancy emotions totally overtook me and I just cried. I just want to see Jake's ten little fingers and ten little toes. I'm tired of guessing what color eyes or hair he'll have or how much he'll weigh.
But then I got to thinking about the two Riverview moms who lost their babies this summer and I thought, my waiting a few extra days is nothing compared to what they are continuing to deal with. So I pulled myself out of my pity party and decided that I can learn patience.
Love is patient. Love is patient. Love is patient. Love is patient. Love is patient.

I can't wait to see little Jake either! Looking forward to seeing those baby pictures. We'll be praying for you and the safe delivery of baby Jake.
Love ya!
I was ten days overdue with all three of my girls. Guess they just needed that little bit of extra baking time. Hang in there!!!!
know how very blessed you are wendy. savor every pregnant moment. soon you will have jake here to hold and kiss and love. patience is a hard one to learn, but you'll have his whole life to hold him and know him. and that is a beautiful thing. savor every moment wendy. every one.
Yippee! The wait is finally over (except now everyone else wants to hold him too!) What a beautiful, beautiful boy. We love him so much...and you and Joel too!
Congratulations! (I had to click on Molly's and your mother-in-law's blogs to find pictures - but your little man is SO CUTE!)
Hope you are all well!!
